How to update aadhar online

To update your Aadhaar details online, you can follow the steps given below:

  1. Visit the UIDAI website: Go to the official website of UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) at https://uidai.gov.in/.

  2. Click on the 'Update Aadhaar Details (Online)' option: On the homepage, click on the 'Update Aadhaar Details (Online)' link under the 'My Aadhaar' tab.

  3. Enter your Aadhaar details: On the next page, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the captcha verification code. Then click on the 'Send OTP' button.

  4. Verify your mobile number: After you receive the OTP (One-Time Password) on your registered mobile number, enter it on the page and click on the 'Login' button.

  5. Select the fields you want to update: On the next page, select the fields that you want to update such as name, address, mobile number, etc.

  6. Enter the updated details: Fill in the updated details in the respective fields.

  7. Upload the supporting documents: Upload the scanned copies of the supporting documents required for the update. The list of valid documents can be found on the UIDAI website.

  8. Review and submit: Once you have entered all the updated details and uploaded the supporting documents, review the information carefully and click on the 'Submit' button.

  9. Note down the URN: After the submission, a URN (Update Request Number) will be generated. Note it down for future reference.

  10. Track the status: You can track the status of your Aadhaar update request using the URN on the UIDAI website.

Note: You can also update your Aadhaar details offline by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or by sending the update request by post to the UIDAI office.
